October 10, 2016 was the 600th broadcast of Show Tunes in the Afternoon, hosted by ‘Lectric Lar’ on FM 89.3 WUMD in North Dartmouth, MA.
It all started nearly 12 years ago with the opening broadcast on February 14, 2005.
The show features music from Broadway, Off-Broadway, Almost-Broadway and London musical theatre. The classics and the seldom heard songs are featured every week, as well as a segment “This Week in Broadway History”, noting openings of plays and musicals as many as 150 years ago.
