I’ll be downtown on Aug 11 at ArtWorks watching the cast do a presentation of the opening moments of I HATE HAMLET. We should have sound effects even! Stop by and say Hi to Lectric Lar and the cast.

So, of the four nominations for “Best Musical”, The Book Of Mormon, Catch Me If You Can, The Scottsboro Boys and Sister Act, it turns out that the South Park gang takes top prize for their religious satire musical The Book Of Mormon.
Wow!
And best revival of a musical was taken by Anything Goes, beating out How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. I think HTSIBWRT is the better show, but maybe they just didn’t like “Harry Potter” in the leading role, although I’m sure John Larroquette was fabulous!
The 64th Season at Your Theatre, Inc. (YTI) is coming to a close, and to start off the 65th Season, I’m directing a production of “I Hate Hamlet”. A second round of auditions are being held on June 8 over at the theatre. See YTI for more infomation.
The wonderful folks that came to the June 2 auditions did a very nice job!
