Broadway Bound Bound

That’s right, I’m heading and bound to my next project, Neil Simon’s Broadway Bound, the third of the trilogy many believe is somewhat auto-biographical. Two years ago I directed Brighton Beach Memoirs, and last year Biloxi Blues. Both had fabulous casts. I’m sure this production will too.

Auditions are May 27 and 28 at 7pm at Your Theatre, Inc. More information at YTI. See more auditions at SeMaTT.

Set in post WWII New York, the play is about Eugene and his older brother, Stanley, working together toward being comedy writers for the radio, and, eventually, television. They land a job where they can write short comedic skits for the radio. When their father, Jack, hears the similarities between the fictional family in the broadcast and their own family, he becomes outraged. He gets into a major argument with Stanley which changes the course of the family’s life.
