Guest Policy

WUMD and your host, ‘Lectric Lar’, are happy to provide a public service and mention your production on-air during the “Show Tunes in the Afternoon” program.

To be a guest on “Show Tunes in the Afternoon” your organization must be producing live theatrical events such as plays, musicals, or improv. Up to three people from your organization may be in the studio at one time. The on-the-air interview will span approximately 17 minutes, usually just after the 4:00 break, although times are flexible. You MUST arrive at least ten minutes before your scheduled time, fifteen minutes is recommended. If you are not at the studio at least ten minutes before your scheduled time, you WILL NOT BE ADMITTED to the studio, and your interview is cancelled for that day. (You may be able to reschedule for another day.)

WUMD is a non-commercial, educational station. Advertising is not allowed, nor is a “call to action”. Reciting prices is not allowed. Mentioning tickets is not allowed. The host may terminate the interview immediately if any station rules, FCC rules, or guest policy rules are violated, or for any reason or no reason at all.

When appropriate, we encourage our audience to seek “more information” by presenting a phone number and/or web site. During your interview, you may be asked to give the phone number or web site on the air, so have that ready. Any information you think your host should have, or any points you would like to have made on the air, should be sent to the host at least one week ahead of time. Send to: ‘Lectric Lar’

If you find you are unable to attend a SCHEDULED interview, you should call or email the host ( ‘Lectric Lar’ ) as soon as possible.
