Atheist, the word. Does it rattle your brain? Is it a negative confrotational word?
Would it be better if replaced with a positive word?
Does it say to many people “you are wrong”, i’m better, smarter, know more then you.
I am enlightened. You are ignorant. ?
I think that is the foremost problem with the atheist movement.
Wouldn’t it be better to have a word that is positive to state their position?
The atheist word, when said by an atheist, to me, says – you believe that you are not really in control of your destiny, some unseen force is really calling the shots, you may control what your having for lunch, but the biggies of life’s happenings are really out of control to you.
You have to be very careful of what you allow yourself to think, or else your going to
see who the boss really is. But I know better, I’m smarter then you.
“You are wrong” are fighting words.
Me, I’m an infinitist. No beginning, no end. One seamless reality, that my little evolutionary
brain can’t contemplate or should I say understand.
Atheist. Against theism. Against God. Now to me that is provication to the masses that
have been told about “The Big Book of Truth”, one of It’s many versions, all their life.
People might look into the atheist position more if they weren’t whacked mentally with
the word “atheist”.
