About

The purpose of essayyousay is to bring organized thoughts to others. It takes time and effort to write an essay.

The way it works here is that you write an essay, from 200 to 500 words, then enter and confirm it online. You will then receive an email with instructions, a verification code, and your full essay text for your review. Within 72 hours, you return to the site and enter the verification code. A completed verification assigns a unique dounoy number to your essay, and publishes it so that visitors to the site may read it. Essays not confirmed in 72 hours are deleted.

When you initially enter your essay, you choose up to three classifications or tags for your work. The classifications can already be existing, or new one(s) you create.

Your published essay can be retrieved by the dounoy number specifically, or under the classifications you have chosen.

Those who read the essays are encouraged to give it a judgement number. The average number is calculated and displayed for future inquirers.

The judgement numbering is 1-10 if you think it has merit, ten is the best, and a judgement of “hurt” if you think it has no merit. “Hurt” is a judgement of something you do not want to look at again yourself and would not recommend to others. Any essay with 75% “hurt” judgements will not be listed in the initial classification listings, but be available under “hurt” listings or by its dounoy number.

Since essayyousay is sponsored by the First Amendment, you censor, we don’t.

You must have an email to post an essay. Once posted, an essay can only be read and judged.
